BODY IS AN ENGINE

Body is an engine. i.e. just try comparing a human body with a machine, say with a car engine. I see them both sharing many common attributes. Like, human bone joints could be compared to the diff joints in a car like tyres joined to the engine, gears joined to the engine, steering joined to the tyres… etc.. Again if you see there is limit set for a tyre to rotate towards both sides on its axis, similarly a human neck is restricted to take a full rotation.

What am I trying to prove? I just wana tell that even human body is subjected to wear- and-tear. We often forget to see our body as a machine, which needs to be taken care of. A mechanic takes care of a machine. He grease/oil it, tightens the screws, cleans the internal parts, maintains the coolant level etc... Similarly we are our own body’s mechanic. It is our responsibility to keep our body intact and ensure a long run.

Going deeper into what I really wish to convey to my readers, many activities performed by a car driver could damage the car engine. Like over speeding affects the engine. Refuelling low quality fuel, carrying over weight etc.. also damages the engine. Similarly fast food addiction, smoking, drinking, no exercise etc.. damages a human body… START THINKING!!!

Tenses and auxiliary verbs

Here, I wish to throw some light on tenses used in English, common mistakes that we make and confusion existing between diff auxiliary verbs...

Auxiliary verb: A verb that combines with another verb in a verb phrase to help form tense, mood, voice, or condition of the verb it combines with

A commom mistakes (in red):

Q: Ma'am, can i come in?
A:(from ma'am) You can, but you may not!!
It should be 'may i come in?' When you use 'can', you test your own ability to come in. As a reason Ma'am says 'you can', that means you have the ability to come in, 'but you may not', means she dosen't want you to come in...

Jose should study tonight => it is Jose's responsibility to study tonight
Jose can/could study => he has the ability to study
Jose would study => he intents to study
Jose may/might study tonight => there is a possibility that Jose studies tonight

I was to have watched the movie => telling abt past
I was to watch the movie => I am supposed to be inside the thethre watching the movie, but got late..ehh
I am to watch the movie => I am looking forward to watch the movie

Auxiliary verb used with a habit: 'used to'
eg: He is a spoilt child, and is used to disobeying his elders.

Had had:
I would have gone on a trip to America if I had had enough money.
had: describes possession
had: to assert it happened in past

Sunday - my 1st ONLINE CAT MOCK TEST!!

today was my 1st online CAT mock test... conducted by time4education..

An advantage i found CAT turning online, after mock test, was the TIMER that appears to a side, ticking and alerting us.. another adv was the questions were clear, as far as 3rd section, english is considered, reading the passage was fun.. each question had the corresponding passage on top it making it easier without any time waste due to page turning and all..

now the disadv came while copying values on to the rough-work paper for maths and DI. Oh!!! DI was badly affected as you dont hav the tables on your work paper, u just cant do things fast.. earlier it used to be easy to manipulate the DI tables, or fill values in the blanks of the tables etc.. Oh GOD!! DI is badly affected..

Thats all frm here for this week......
SORRY frds.. this week turned out to be slothful............. WILL come with something good next week.. need to select a good topic of study... singing off..

its federer-roddick 1set 1set each..
